Florence Nightingale Agency is seeking an experienced support worker to provide supports to clients in Nelson.

We have a dedicated team that puts their heart into the community. We are looking for motivated, compassionate, empathetic individuals to support our clients to live their best life.

Responsibilities

Provide supportive care to clients, including a legally blind client, engaging them in activities they enjoy. Sessions are 2.5 hours long, four times a week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at approximately 9:30 am. Work alongside a highly motivated team to engage with clients in their communities in ways that are meaningful to them.

Qualifications

• Own vehicle and full driver’s licence.
• Passion for helping people.
• Health qualification L3 or L4 (essential). If you have no health qualification your application WILL not be considered.
• Great communicator with ability to use a variety of communication strategies (e.g. social media, texting, non‑verbal communication aids).
• Ability to commit to a client(s) for an extended period of time.
