Overview

As a Data Scientist in our company, you will support our data driven initiatives by collecting, processing, and analyzing data to uncover actionable insights. This role is ideal for a motivated individual eager to develop technical and analytical skills while working closely with senior analysts and cross-functional teams. The role combines technical expertise in the use of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques, analytical thinking to solve complete data records, and ability to provide valuable summaries and conclusions starting from large data sets. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping business strategy by turning complex data into insights that drive high-impact decisions and transformative outcomes.

Your responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather data from databases, APIs, and spreadsheets. Clean and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy and usability. Develop machine learning models (e.g., regression, classification, clustering) to address business needs. Apply statistical techniques to validate results and ensure accuracy
  • Basic Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis using tools like Excel, SQL, and Python/R to identify trends, patterns, and outliers
  • Reporting & Visualization: Assist in creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Collaboration: Work with senior analysts and departments (e.g., Marketing, Operations) to understand data needs and deliver solutions. Translate complex technical concepts into actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences
  • Documentation: Maintain clear records of data sources, methodologies, and results
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in data analysis

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Relevant experience of ideally more than 2 years in matching roles
  • Strong foundation in statistical analysis, combined with expertise in machine learning techniques—including supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning—and proficiency in data preprocessing and transformation
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or similar programming languages
  • Basic understanding of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Proficient Italian and English language skill mandatory
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Skilled in conveying complex technical insights in a clear and accessible manner to non-technical stakeholders.
