About the Company

We are a medium-sized company, a leader in the production of electromechanical components for the automotive sector, with a particular focus on the electric vehicle (EV) segment. Our main customers are international OEMs, and we operate according to the highest safety and quality standards, as evidenced by our TISAX certification. The company has highly automated production lines, integrated with a complex IT architecture that supports next‑generation production and management processes.

Position Summary

As part of e‑Mobility R&D and reporting to the PSD Manager, you will be responsible for power converter control design and implementation based on the relevant requirements and in collaboration with the Project Team.

Responsibilities

  • Modelling and simulation of power conversion stages plants and controls
  • Theoretical study, evaluation and proposal of optimal control strategies for the targeted application
  • Development and subsequent implementation of converter control strategies/algorithms
  • Fine‑tune of implemented strategy on target and / or Rapid Prototyping system
  • Control strategies deployment into DSP Software in collaboration with the DSP Software Development Team
  • Integration test execution on target hardware

Technical Skills

  • Power system modelling and identification
  • Development of automatic controls, with particular reference to digital ones, for converter systems such as Active Front End, PFC, DC/DC converter, etc.
  • Knowledge of digital controls for power electronics (PWM modulation schemes, digital filtering, synchronous sampling of analog quantities, etc.)
  • Nice to have: embedded C language programming knowledge for power electronic DSPs (e.g. Texas Instruments C2000 family)
  • Main modelling tools (e.g. MATLAB / Simulink, PLECS, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering and knowledge of power electronics control
  • Good English spoken and written
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW language (plus)
