Iper La grande i, an Italian company operating in the GDO sector with over 20 hypermarkets nationwide, is seeking a Sales Assistant in Bakery/Pastry for its store in Tortona (PV).

Position:

Sales Assistant - Bakery/Pastry - Part Time 24h

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare desserts, cakes, biscuits, small pastries, single portions, leavened products, and other bakery items according to traditional recipes.
  • Use equipment such as mixers, ovens, planetary mixers, and whisks.
  • Bake desserts and cakes in the oven.
  • Decorate desserts and cakes with creams, ganache, fruit, and other ingredients.
  • Package bakery products in boxes or bags.
  • Display bakery items in refrigerated or ambient temperature displays.
  • Assist customers in selecting bakery and bread products and provide product information.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the bakery and bread workshop.
  • Follow hygiene and food safety regulations.
  • Prepare, leaven, and bake bread, focaccia, pizzas, and other baked goods.
  • Operate equipment such as mixers, ovens, rolling pins, and knives.
  • Check baking processes and control cooking times.
  • Cut and portion bread and baked goods.
  • Package baked products in bags or trays.
  • Display baked goods in the sales counter.
  • Restock raw materials and finished products in the workshop.

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge of various types of desserts and their ingredients.
  • Knowledge of different types of bread and their ingredients.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Manual dexterity and precision.
  • Physical strength for handling heavy loads.
  • Previous experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef is a plus.
  • Creativity in preparing desserts and cakes.
  • Proficiency in decorating techniques for desserts and cakes.
  • Previous experience as a Traditional Pastry Chef is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Customer focus and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
