Product Specialist – ABB

Role Overview

As a Product Specialist in the Motion Motors division, you will support the unit with technical expertise and CAD‐based design support for low‑voltage electric motors. You will translate customer requirements into mechanical drawings, act as a key interface between the local sales team and the manufacturing plant in Finland, and provide technical documentation for distributors.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and modify mechanical drawings using AutoCAD to support sales activities.
  • Act as a technical interface between the factory and local sales for motor customization and modifications.
  • Prepare technical documentation for distributors and customers.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the sales network regarding motor specifications.
  • Visit customers to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Support all industrial segments including Water & Wastewater, Food & Beverage, Metals, and more.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in CAD and mechanical design principles.
  • Experience in mechanical drawings and technical support for industrial products.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the industrial or electromechanical sector.
  • Knowledge of low‑voltage electric motors and customization processes.
  • Adept at teamwork, problem‑solving, and customer orientation.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technician diploma.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).
