Chemistry Department

Position Summary
Execute laboratory-scale chemical synthesis studies of organic and inorganic compounds as Perform related analysis on reaction mixtures and products generated in the laboratory with most common analytical techniques (Gas-Chromatography, Liquid Chromatography), using on-site equipment.

Job Status

  • Full-Time
  • Reports to: Head of Chemistry Department

Role Responsibilities

  • Work as a team with supervisor and other lab personnel on duty to make sure all necessary tasks are completed correctly and timely
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe, responsible manner, comply with company and lab safety rules.
  • Perform instrument operating maintenance and qualifications, clean-out, and special analysis as needed.
  • Record and update status of chemical activities in dedicated notebooks and produce reports and other technical documentation as required.
  • Perform laboratory housekeeping duties always maintaining cleanliness and order in all workspaces.
  • Contribute to monitor local inventory of chemicals.
  • Follow company procedures in disposing of laboratory waste.
  • Perform other inherent tasks in the Chemical Department or compatible areas within the R&D Centre.

Education

  • Secondary school diploma as a chemical technician, or equivalent.
  • At least of 3 years of experience in chemical laboratory a similar role, with demonstrated experience in the basic experimental techniques and emphasis on organic chemistry.

Job Expectations / Working Conditions

  • Demonstrated experience in the use of GCs, HPLCs and other standard analytical instruments.
  • Proficient in operation of personal computers using standard office software.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain positive and effective communication across functional teams.
