Overview

We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to ensure the quality of solvent-borne (SB) and water-borne (WB) products and raw materials, supporting the Team Leader and QC Manager in maintaining high standards and improving EHS practices in the QC lab.

Responsibilities

  • Perform QC tests on SB/WB final products, mill bases, raw materials, and pigments.
  • Calibrate and operate lab instruments, manage lab data, and maintain lab supplies and standards.
  • Analyze QC test data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Support Quality Assurance in evaluating customer claims and managing documentation.
  • Collaborate on daily QC activities and support manufacturing processes.
  • Contribute to EHS improvements and 5S activities within the QC lab.
  • Manage data using R12, Self Service, Workday, and PPG Pulse systems.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering or Scientific studies.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in an industrial environment.
  • Strong chemical knowledge and understanding of production processes.
  • Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of EHS policies and practical application.
