Responsabile della gestione della sicurezza EHS (Environmental, Health, Safety) per lo stabilimento di Casaletto Vaprio e per le attività di Field Safety in Italia, garantendo che le persone, le sedi, il personale sul campo e le sedi CPS (ex TSSR) siano conformi alle normative vigenti e rispettino le procedure, gli standard e i processi PPG in materia di ambiente, salute, sicurezza e sicurezza aziendale.
Responsabile dell’implementazione continua del Sistema di Gestione EHS per assicurare la conformità alla legislazione locale e ai requisiti PPG EHS, nonché della definizione di una strategia per gli investimenti in infrastrutture EHS presso i siti.
Coordina le responsabilità tra le diverse Business Unit (BU) nel paese e favorisce opportunità di networking con il Country Manager EHS. Il ruolo richiede una certa flessibilità per viaggiare tra le diverse sedi sul territorio nazionale.
Il ruolo prevede il 50% del tempo lavorativo in trasferta nel territorio nazionale ( soprattutto nel nord italia)

Role
Responsible for leading for Casaletto Vaprio & EHS Field Safety for Italy, ensuring that the people and location, field people and CPS (former TSSR) locations are legally compliant and satisfy PPG Environmental, Health, Safety and Security procedures, standards and processes. Responsible for establishing an on-going assessment of the implementation of the EHS Management System to comply within local legislation and PPG EHS requirements, , and for generating a strategy for site investment in EHS related infrastructure.
Responsible for coordinating responsibilities for the different BUs within the country and establishing networking opportunities with the EHS country manager
The role requires some of level flexibility to travel to different locations within the country
The role requires 50% of working time spent traveling within the national territory (mainly in Northern Italy).
Key Responsibilities
1. For Casaletto site
· Ensures that EHS legal requirements for the location are always communicated and works with the local Leaderhsip Team to address the requirements in the most effective way
· Implements EHS strategy within the location by developing and aligning local plans, in agreement with local Leadership Team and Corporate & Regional guidelines; provide proactive feedback to Country Mananger to ensure strategy sustainability & robustness in the long term
· Becomes a member of the local Leadership Team, participates in local decision-making and supports local needs in agreement with Location Manager and EHS Country Manager
· Defines and maintains core EHS resourcing needs for the location and requests support to EHS Country Manager in alignment with business needs and partners
· Ensures EHS resources are assigned to core EHS activities and any additional non core activities as agreed by the Business and EHS and SLAs established
· Collaborates with local Process Safety Managers/Coordinators to ensure process safety requirements are addressed
· Identifies and prioritizies needs, proposes and gets approval for EHS local budget, and manages it accordingly in full alignment with Site Leadership Team and Country guidelines.
· Communicates timely for any off-site activities and seeks approval from Location Manager and EHS Country Manager
2. For Field Safety activities
• Implements EHS Field Safety strategy within the country by developing and aligning local plans, in agreement with Operational leadership and Corporate & Regional guidelines; provide proactive feedback to Regional & Corporate to ensure strategy sustainability & robustness in the long term
• Ensures that Risk assessments are performed by the business on time and in full and to support as appropriate in risk reductions initiatives
• Drives Field Safety culture (Drive to Zero) for field employees and employees based in customer sites and other remote locations
• Ensures accidents are reported and deviations analysis conducted timely andcorrective actions implemented
• Ensures a reporting culture for near misses and implementation of corrective actions for high severity near misses
• Manages EHS Country budget for EHS field safety activities
• Identifies appropriate EHS training needs and ensure effective roll out in partnership with the business
• Ensures regular communication and engagement with business leaders, by creating solid relationships among the various stakeholders and participation in leadership teams
• Acts as the business EHS representative for applicable Regulatory PPG and Customers obligations
• Supports integration exercises for acquired businesses
• Promote efficiently all the Corporate initiatives (i.e. Wellness, Ergo Cup etc)
Impact/Scope of Responsibility
1. For Casaletto site
· Responsible for leading and implementing EHS compliance for a single site or multiple sites. Performs tasks in a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the organizations EHS standards and with regulatory requirements. Develops, implements and maintains programs, systems and procedures necessary to ensure the overall environment, health, and safety performance of the unit. Conducts comprehensive independent reviews of the environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
· Recommends changes to policies and procedures and applicability to other sites/SBUs.
· Conceptualizes issues at multiple levels beyond cause/effect, identifies possible unintended consequences
· Individual Contributor; acts as a lead person or technical expert and provides functional direction and training in the application of the EHS process and programs.
2. For Field Safety activities
· Implements policies and procedures to assure awareness and compliance with EH&S requirements of the organization.
· Provides technical leadership and functional guidance to operating unit personnel to ensure health standards promulgated by regulatory authorities are being enforced.
· Ensures that quality control procedures are executed to monitor all aspects of regulations.
· Coordinates audits of safety and health programs within the organization to identify and control significant loss producing exposure.
· Ability to influence employees, supervisors, and leadership. May act as a lead person or technical expert and provides functional direction and training in the application of the EHS process and programs.

· Operates independently at a locations with low to moderate complexity, low to moderate risk
· Support the business strategy by participating in the development of the EHS strategy and seeing through its successful implementation. One main challenge is implementing strategies and tactics to satisfy customer/business needs and regulatory requirements.

· Develops and conducts employee training, emergency preparedness, and/or quality assurance programs. Provides regulatory interpretation and technical advice. Prepares and/or supervises preparation of reports and recommends corrective actions.

· Works largely independently. Participates in determining objectives of assignments. Plans, schedules, and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
Education & Technical Knowledge
· Ideally bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in EHS field, chemistry, engineering, or related science, with relevant experience. Otherwise a relevant EHS qualification and 5 years of experience.
· In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety and/or environmental regulations. Must keep fully informed on all existing and proposed changes in occupational health and safety and/or environmental regulations. Working knowledge of key business metrics, key drivers, business vision, and manufacturing processes/challenges as applicable to influence customers
Behaviours expected
· Meets scope and deadlines of leading initiatives as per agreed plan unless affected by urgent business needs or unforeseen circumstances
· Informs to relevant parties (amongst others EHS country manager, business, location, the EHS Field Safety LT, SBU Operational Managers and) as soon as possible on any deviation to the original scope and deadlines that can lead to a potential failure of the agreed deliverables
· Attends regularly the monthly regional reviews
· Completes monthly updates 1 week before the monthly report (including KPI’s , incident reporting, Score Card, Country sharepoint,…)
· Reviews financial performance and headcount for the country every month, with regard to EHS Field Safety for the country
· Conducts at least one safety observation per week with the site leadership team
· Updates and uploads local EHS scorecards on a monthly basis
· Reports I&Is, reportable spills, fires and process safety events within 24 working hours after incident and provides presentation on root causes and corrective actions within 72 working hrs after the incident
· Reviews every week incidents in GS2 (Cority) to manage “events to be posted” or cases without casual factors - ensures that adequate number of casual factors are considered for the I&Is
· Participates in the country reviews coordinated by EHS country manager
· Completes goals and performance reviews in Workday as per schedule
