Now Hiring: Accountant

Manpower is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to support a dynamic and fast-paced office environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a passion for financial accuracy and process improvement.

Location: Huntington, WV

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Pay: 55-60k Annual Salary

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor accounting systems and review general ledger accounts
• Create and post journal entries; reconcile bank accounts
• Prepare financial statements and supporting documentation
• Complete and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and reports
• Perform payroll duties and related reporting
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Review customer accounts and assist with credit approvals and collections
• Handle bank deposits and mail sorting
• Provide backup support for accounts payable and receivable functions
• Assist with special projects and support the CFO as needed

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Two- or four-year degree in Accounting or related field
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and financial statements

Skills

• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger functions
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Docs/Sheets
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Dependable, professional, and eager to learn
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently

Work Environment

• Office-based role with extended periods of sitting
• Collaborative and professional setting
