Lead Data Architect AWS

Responsibilities

Data & Intelligence Business Line at NTT DATA is looking for a Lead Data Architect AWS.

Your role as a Lead Data Architect AWS will include:

• Managing key clients
• Managing relationships with AWS
• Managing the AWS Center of Excellence
• Leading Data & Analytics AWS projects
• Supporting recruitment efforts
• Supporting value proposition development
• Supporting development of skills and capabilities, such as:
• Designing data platforms on AWS data stores like Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS, S3
• Designing operations architecture and conducting performance engineering for large-scale data lakes in production environments
• Applying the Well-Architected Framework to solution design and implementation
• Creating and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture by designing and implementing data ingestion solutions on AWS using AWS native services (such as Glue, Lambda) or data management technologies (such as Talend or Informatica)
• Participating in client design workshops and providing trade-offs and recommendations for building solutions
• Mentoring other engineers in coding best practices and problem solving

Required Skills

• Proven experience in data analytics, preferably from consulting firms
• Minimum of 5 years managing a team of BI/data analysts up to senior level
• Experience working in an AWS cloud-native environment
• Knowledge of Big Data architectures, both cloud and on-premise
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and networking
• Experience with AWS collection services: Kinesis, Kafka, Database Migration Service
• Experience with AWS storage services: S3, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB
• Experience with AWS compute services: EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS
• Experience building and delivering proofs-of-concept to address specific business needs using appropriate techniques, data sources, and technologies
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud environments
• Experience monitoring distributed infrastructure using AWS tools or open-source tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and the ELK stack
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Kanban
• Strong data manipulation skills and familiarity with BI tools
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including dealing with top management to drive projects
• Proactive initiative-taker with exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of managing cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment
