We are now looking for a
Resource Team Leader
to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent for our location in Livorno, Italy.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Resource Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the locally assigned dive resource pool and acting as the focal point for diving operations at the UWS local site or area. You will oversee the local diving workforce’s health, safety, and well-being while ensuring operational efficiency. Additionally, you will directly manage dive teams and all aspects of diving operations, including personnel, equipment, safety protocols, and logistics.
The Resource Team Leader also assumes all responsibilities associated with the Diving Superintendent position and serves as the line manager for the local diving workforce, reporting to the UWS Dive & Resource Manager. This role also includes HRM responsibilities
As Resource Team Leader, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate diving personnel, equipment, and resources to ensure compliance with legal, company, and industry regulations.
- Ensure diving operations are staffed with a qualified team and conducted from a safe, well-equipped dive site.
- Oversee the preparation and mobilisation of diving equipment and personnel.
- Supervise local diving operations and delegate responsibilities to appointed Diving Superintendents and Dive Supervisors as required.
- Ensure all project documentation, dive records, and associated documentation comply with company standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Sales and Coordination, Workshop, and Dive Technical functions.
- Optimize the use of materials and reduce resource wastage in local diving operations.
- Lead and coach personnel within the team.
- Continuously review and improve dive teams' operational performance based on everyday work, lessons learned, near-misses, and accidents.
- Ensure all diving personnel are properly trained and certified for safe and efficient operations.
- Foster a positive Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety culture within the local team.
You Will Shine In This Role, When You Have
- A bachelor’s degree in business with 5+ years as a leader or manager in commercial diving, OR secondary vocational studies with 10+ years in commercial diving roles and 7+ years as a Senior Dive Supervisor/Superintendent.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in the commercial diving industry.
- In-depth understanding of legal and compliance regulations related to diving operations for local region.
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
- Strong planning, organisational, and coordination skills.
- Ability to foster cross-divisional and organisational cooperation.
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world and to visit site offices and operations. Thus, we hope you will be ready to travel approximately 70% of the time, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
