TRAVEL DESIGN & BOOKINGS ASSISTANT – APPRENDISTATO CONTRACT
Our ideal candidate has completed a Travel Design & Bookings & Operations course or has experience with a tour operator, travel agency or DMC. You will primarily work on Italy-based customised itineraries for private clients, with involvement in the UK & Ireland, Spain & Portugal, France & Greece at various stages. This position is fully remote and based from home.
Note: you will not perform these roles concurrently; you will switch between Travel Design and Bookings & Operations for defined periods according to seasonality and business needs.
Availability: You must have permission to work and reside in Italy.

Responsibilities
This role will involve Travel Design and Bookings & Operations. You will work in either Travel Design or Bookings & Operations for set periods depending on seasonal needs.
As a Travel Designer you will:
- Design accurate, curated itineraries and cultivate client relationships
- Support the sales process, including client communication via email and phone
- Work towards sales targets within your budget
As a Bookings & Operations Assistant you will:
- Manage all aspects of bookings and maintain client relationships from confirmation through departure
- Manage supplier relationships
- Handle emergencies, ensure clients have everything before arrival, and provide reconfirmation and information during tours
- Book services (transfers, tickets, hotels, activities, guides) and reconfirm with suppliers and hotels prior to tour start
- Follow up supplier invoices and liaise with the accounts department
- Conduct itinerary checks: timings, meeting points, and contact details in the itinerary system and verify with clients and suppliers
Who you are
- Excellent attention to detail; able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Comfortable speaking with clients and suppliers by phone
- Passionate about the sales process and adept at identifying client needs and closing business
- C1 level of written & spoken English
- C1/C2 level of written & spoken Italian
- Team player who can also work independently and make quick, smart decisions
- Resilient under pressure, able to multi-task and prioritise workload
- Proactive with a helpful, initiative-driven attitude
