Senior Unit Facility Manager – GE Vernova

Job Description Summary

Italian: Senior Unit Facility Manager è responsabile della riparazione e della manutenzione di gruppi elettromeccanici ed elettrici. Questo ruolo prevede la gestione di vari documenti tecnici, l'utilizzo di attrezzature specializzate e il rispetto degli standard di sicurezza e qualità. Il tecnico contribuisce all'analisi dei guasti, al mantenimento di un ambiente di lavoro pulito e organizzato.

English: Senior Unit Facility Manager is responsible for the repair and maintenance of electromechanical and electrical assemblies. This role involves working with technical documents, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The technician also contributes to failure analysis and maintains a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to conduct failure analysis using assembly prints, plans, test procedures, component maintenance manuals, engineering change orders, and other controlled documents.
  • Configure and operate equipment under the direction of senior technicians.
  • Check and record assembly data, perform and document in‑process verifications, including FAA repair station documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, debris‑free work area using the 5S process.
  • Identify and adjust for process variations to ensure compliance with work practices.
  • Interpret and work from complex product drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, wear required PPE and report safety concerns or injuries promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Team Coach.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • High school technical diploma.
  • Significant experience in electromechanical and/or electrical assembly or repair.
  • Ability and willingness to lift 25 kg.
  • Proficiency using and understanding mechanical/electrical measuring tools and equipment.
  • Capability to read, interpret, and follow assembly blueprints, work instructions, and motor operating mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of vacuum applications.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.

Desired Characteristics

  • Soldering certification.
  • Experience in electromechanical/electrical assembly or repair.
  • Ability to work independently with occasional assistance from senior operators.
  • Understanding of required systems for repair transactions and customer requirements.
  • Ability to follow schematics for troubleshooting.
  • Skill in recognizing and resolving problems promptly.
  • Knowledge of repair processes/practices per UNI and internal manuals.
  • Proven ability to work without supervision.
  • Capability to set up and operate most test equipment.
  • Ability to document and communicate repairs in writing and verbally.
  • Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and documenting technical data in English.
  • Basic PC skills (email, Excel, Word).
