Assistant Professor of Finance

Overview

Bocconi University invites applications for tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Finance, starting in Fall 2026. The positions are open to candidates working in all fields of Finance. The tenure track will run for up to eight years with potential promotion to tenure by end of period. Compensation and teaching load are competitive with other top European schools.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research in finance and teach courses in the Finance department.

Qualifications

• Candidates should show considerable promise for excellent research and teaching.
• Applicants should be nearing the completion of their Ph.D. in Finance, Economics, or related fields, or should have already completed it.

• a job market paper, plus any other publications or working papers, up to a maximum of three, which the candidate intends to submit for this evaluation;
• list of three highly qualified academic referees providing a reference letter.
