We are looking for an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our IT team in Italy. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing technical support and assistance to local users, local systems, and ensuring smooth communication and collaboration with the central organization and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide first-level support to local users, resolving day-to-day issues related to hardware, software, network, and selected applications.
- Install, configure, and maintain local equipment, such as computers, printers, scanners, phones, etc.
- Monitor and troubleshoot local systems, such as servers, network devices, backup systems, etc.
- Support the coordinator in ensuring compliance with IT policies, standards, and procedures which are primarily provided from the central department.
- Document and report IT incidents, requests, and changes.
- Evaluate and escalate complex or unresolved IT issues to the central organization or external service providers.
In addition to these duties, you will also be responsible for coordinating and collaborating with the central organization and external service providers on projects, initiatives, and service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience :
To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications and experience :
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience as an IT support technician or specialist, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- A strong understanding of IT systems, hardware, software, and network technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Language Skills :
The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Italian and English.
Beneficial Experience :
Certifications or training in IT support, ITIL, or other relevant areas would be beneficial. Additionally, experience working with global or regional IT teams and service providers is desirable.
