Indirect Procurement Manager
Purpose of the job
The jobholder operates in a multi-stakeholder and cross-functional environment and is managing one or multiple indirect procurement categories such as HR, Facility, Manufacturing, R&D, 3rd Party Logistics, Marketing, IT, Legal, etcetera. The jobholder cooperates with stakeholders to ensure best in class procurement, creating partnerships with key contractors and suppliers in order to procure CAPEX and OPEX goods and services in a cost-conscious manner.
- Build and maintain a sourcing category strategy aligned with the global procurement strategy.
- Execute all sourcing actions for a given category with excellent knowledge of the product, supply market, market players and contract techniques.
- Research, select and develop supply sources in order to minimize risk and total cost of ownership, submit bid requests and evaluate bids.
- Negotiate contracts between Barco and the supplier that enable continuous improvements in the procurement process, cost savings or cost avoidance and risk reduction.
- Ensure optimal management of supply sources with minimal cost of ownership.
- Dashboard the supplier’s key performance indicators (KPI).
- Take full ownership (on all levels and topics) for the relationship between Barco and the supplier
- Assist the Indirect Procurement Buyers in the operational purchasing activities in case of repeated default and/or deviations from contract.
- Ensure a close co-operation with stakeholders to capture supplier roadmap information and market trends for key products & services.
- Support CAPEX projects and projects in the procurement plan as agreed between the category owners and global procurement
Education:
- Master degree in technical/commercial direction
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of buying experience
- Knowledge of principles and practices of purchasing
- Make sound judgement
- Display global perspective
