Seeking a

Mechanical Quantity Surveyor

The Role

As a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor, you'll manage commercial aspects of projects from tender to final accounts, ensuring maximum commercial benefit. This involves budgeting, BOQ development, reporting, and managing client and subcontractor accounts. You'll identify risks, collaborate on scheduling, and maintain meticulous records.

Key Responsibilities

• budgeting, BOQs, profit plans. Conduct interim commercial meetings;
• report project status. Oversee subcontractor accounts, valuations, and payments. Administer contracts, issue applications, and manage claims. Identify and report commercial risks. Understand scheduling implications;

Collaborate with planning. Cost and agree daily work changes, including dayworks and site changes. Maintain accurate records and backup. Work independently, prioritize effectively, and maintain accuracy. Negotiate with clients.

Requirements

4+ years of Quantity Surveying experience on Mechanical Projects. 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying (ideally with a technical background). Experience on mechanical projects > €5M in data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or commercial sectors. Proficient in Excel. Strong knowledge of commercial management, QS role, and contract conditions. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and administration skills. Process-driven with focus on EHS and Quality.
