Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement local procurement strategies aligned with global CLF objectives.
  • Lead the sourcing, negotiation, and contracting processes for local suppliers.
  • Conduct continuous supplier scouting to identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors that meet quality, cost, and sustainability standards.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and innovation targets are met.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., SCM, Finance, R&D) to understand needs and ensure procurement supports business goals.
  • Local implementation of processes, standards and tools set by global CLF.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the local procurement team to build capabilities and drive performance.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Support risk management initiatives by identifying and mitigating supply chain risks.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement roles, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of commodity market dynamics.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Analytical mindset and proficiency in tools such as Excel and ERP systems (SAP).
  • Good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
  • Results-oriented, proactive, and a strong team player.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain principles and how procurement integrates within the broader supply chain strategy.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
