Overview

Join to apply for the Sales Director role at Bloom Energy. We are looking for an experienced and successful Sales Director to build long-term, trusting relationships with our Customers in Italy. The Bloom Energy Sales Director Italy role is to develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities for the entire Bloom Energy portfolio and solutions in Italy. The Bloom Energy’s Sales Director Italy will report to the Regional Senior Sales Director and will be based in Italy, preferably in Milan. The role will work closely with the regional Energy Transition Management and HQ Product Sales Team to build a pipeline of opportunities and increase penetration of Bloom’s technology in Italy, across industrial power generation, biogas, data centers, and real estate market segments.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Operating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accounts
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with Customers in Italy at any level
  • Overseeing Customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit for Bloom Energy
  • Work as a Sales Lead for Bloom opportunities identified in the assigned Region following Bloom commercial processes
  • Lead the development of full value propositions for Customers on Bloom’s technology and solutions
  • Collaborate with leadership, Energy Transition Management, Commercial Operations Team, and HQ Product Sales Team to interface with Customers and influence adoption of Bloom technology
  • Lead internal proposal efforts and development of new market opportunities for Bloom technology
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to Customer needs and objectives
  • Partner with Customers to develop deals / projects and work with HQ Product Sales Team and Commercial Team to win new orders
  • Work on regional partnership landscape and structure special and complex transactions
  • Communicate progress of monthly and quarterly initiatives to Bloom Energy stakeholders and leadership
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Prepare reports on account status
  • Collaborate with Bloom Energy stakeholders and leadership to identify and grow opportunities within the assigned region
  • Assist with challenging Customer requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes and / or services
  • Utilize understanding of industry trends to inform decision-making
  • Provide competitors’ information about market dynamics in line with Bloom Energy policies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
  • Conducting business adhering to the highest standards of compliance and sustainability, and Bloom Energy policies
  • Minimum 10 years work experience in Sales (e.g., Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager) or Commercial Operations with frequent Customer touch
  • Strong knowledge of the Italian power generation market, including key players, regulations, and Customer requirements
  • Strong knowledge of incentives available in Italy for high-efficiency power generation solutions and biogas for power generation
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive and C-level
  • Ability to understand Customer needs and deliver high-value solutions
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects with attention to detail
  • Excellent active listening and negotiation capabilities
