Overview

Role : Global Total Rewards Manager, Permanent

Direct Report : SVP Head of Total Rewards

Hours : Full-time

Salary : Competitive salary and benefits package, dependent on skills and experience, plus annual bonuses.

Location : Open to location: preferred Verona (Italy) or Toulouse (France), 70-80% remote

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and lead various compensation activities and processes, such as the Annual Reward Cycle, promotions, LTI grants and other incentive programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to design and implement global compensation concepts and programs and propose improvements to ensure we remain competitive in the global talent market.
  • Work closely with peers to ensure a holistic view of Total Rewards, including other aspects such as benefits and global mobility.
  • Perform job evaluations and prepare compensation packages for senior executive positions.
  • Proactively develop country-specific compensation programs in line with market and business needs.
  • Maintain and improve C&B modules and processes in Workday (Advanced Compensation).
  • Provide guidance and training to HR contacts and managers, mainly at the senior level.
  • The main focus for this role will be initially focusing on compensation.

  • A natural enjoyment of collaborating with people and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with “can do“ mentality and ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent data capture and analysis standards as well as written and oral presentation skills.
  • Total Rewards managers establishing standards of total Rewards within their individual companies and also across the industry.
  • Conducted market research compensation and benefits globally to ensure offering competitive pay to attract the top talent in the field of pharma, life sciences.
  • Adhering to regulations by staying up to date and maintaining compliance with regulations globally.
  • Preparing company budgets, quarterly and annual reviews.

Education and Experience

  • Proven 3 to 5 years experience within a global start-up or scale up business in compensation and benefits ideally within a matrix organization with a European or Global scope.
  • Expertise in all aspects of rewards preferred, such as salary reviews, salary surveys, STI bonus plans, LTI plans, and benefits.
  • Good understanding of tax and compliance regulations, Compensation & Benefits practices, and local legislation
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to change perspectives and obtain buy-in from all stakeholders as well as the ability to present to senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Must be fluent in English (additional language skills in German, Italian or French preferred).
