Senior International Headhunter for Plastics, Chemicals, Packaging, Logistics, Automotive, Metal, Automation, and Transportation and IT Industries

Our client is a global leader in polymer distribution serving the plastics industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with limited experience but strong motivation to develop a long-term career in sales within the plastics and chemical distribution industry. The role includes a combination of commercial responsibilities, customer interaction, market analysis, and administrative support to the regional sales teams.

The Apprenticeship Contract lasts between 6 months and 3 years, including continuous training and progressive responsibility, followed by an end-of-program evaluation to determine potential conversion to a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of a client portfolio within the assigned region.
  • Conduct active prospecting and identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations and commercial offers.
  • Support daily activities related to orders, pricing, availability, and logistics coordination.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure high service levels.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics.
  • Participate in client visits, trade fairs, and industry events when required.
  • Report weekly activities and KPIs to the Regional Sales Manager.

Requirements

  • Mandatory
  • Age 18–29 (legal requirement for Apprenticeship Contract).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Business, Chemistry, or related fields.
  • Good command of Italian and English (B2 or above).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivation to grow within a commercial role.
  • Basic Excel and digital skills.
  • Preferred
  • First experience (6–18 months) in sales, customer service, inside sales, or administrative support.
  • Knowledge of industrial, plastics, or chemical distribution markets.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to work with KPIs.
