Data Governance Specialist
The Data Governance Specialist plays a key role in ensuring that GEB’s data is managed as a strategic asset, supporting regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and informed decision‑making.
Main accountabilities
- Further implement and maintain the Data Governance Principles across all production data, ensuring data is accessible, secure, and managed as a strategic asset.
- Define and maintain the Business Glossary, ensuring consistent terminology and taxonomy across Business Units and Legal Entities.
- Identify and classify Relevant Outputs (RO) and Significant Data (SD) in line with regulatory, strategic, and operational requirements.
- Support the documentation of conditions for manual data input and updates, ensuring traceability and auditability.
- Maintain and govern the Data Catalog, including metadata definitions, formats, and attributes.
- Develop and manage Data Lineage processes to track data flow across ICT systems, from generation to usage.
- Collaborate with IT to identify and monitor Key ICT Systems, especially those critical for business continuity and RO generation.
- Ensure data confidentiality classification according to Group taxonomy and lifecycle protection standards.
- Support compliance with Personal Data Protection and Integrated Data Quality System Group Policies.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote data governance awareness and adoption across the whole GEB organization.

Data Warehouse Specialist
The Data Warehouse Specialist plays a key role in the Data Governance, Automation and Process Optimization team, supporting the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data infrastructure.
Main accountabilities
- Design and implement data extraction pipelines using GCP components such as Data Proc, Data Fusion, and Composer / Airflow.
- Develop and maintain DAGs for ETL processes and automate environment recreation using Google Cloud SDK and API scripting.
- Integrate Cloud Functions (Gen 1 & 2) and Secret Manager into data workflows for secure and scalable operations.
- Build and optimize Big Query datasets for enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Apply AEAD encryption and manage Data plex environments where applicable.
- Write and maintain advanced SQL queries and Shell scripts for data manipulation and automation.
- Support release management activities, including Cloud Build deployment processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all data warehouse environments.

The Data Ingestion & Quality Management Analyst will be responsible for ensuring effective governance, management, and continuous improvement of reinsurance data flows from GEB Network Partners, focusing on operational data ingestion, quality validation, and automation of processes.
1. Data Ingestion and Quality Assurance
- Manage and oversee the ingestion of all data flows from Network Partners, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient processing.
- Conduct thorough quality checks and validations to ensure accuracy and integrity of the reinsurance data.
