Position – Import/Export Specialist

What you will do

• Document and issue international shipment documentation (road, sea, air) such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, Letter of Credit.
• Prepare and submit export customs declarations, verifying origin, value, and customs codes; manage both import and export customs procedures.
• Arrange transportation by road (LCL and FTL) in Italy and Europe, by air and sea (LCL and full containers), evaluating best rates and services.
• Monitor the performance of the distribution process and conduct KPI monitoring.
• Prepare reporting, analysis, and KPI monitoring activities.
• Collaborate on process improvement projects, supporting layout redesign, tender analysis, and logistics cost control.

Who you are

• Preferred: experience with international trade consultants/customs brokers (freight forwarder, customs broker agency) in multinational companies; knowledge of customs regulations, tax (export, import, VAT), transport regulations, and international agreements.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal); a second language is a plus.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Team‑player with strong relationship‑building skills; able to manage service providers and internal/external customers.
• Willing to travel for business.
