Software Development Manager, Route 53 – Amazon Web Services. In-person in Arlington, VA / Herndon, VA, USA.
In this role, you will lead a team developing a new DNS service for customers. You will be responsible for building and scaling a secure, highly available DNS resolver that enables customers to resolve both public and private DNS queries from anywhere while maintaining strong security controls and compliance requirements. You will lead a services software development team to improve the service, manage prioritization, iterate and innovate, and address distributed systems challenges. The role requires technical depth, clear communication, and the ability to build a strong team that delivers results. You will work with your team and senior leadership to develop and launch high-quality services, influence the overall strategy, define the team roadmap, drive system architecture, and coach and develop team members.
You will manage and lead engineers to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
