Safestay Hostels & Hotels is continuing to grow, with already 19 properties across the UK and Europe. We are now expanding to Naples for our second location in Italy, housed in a historic former monastery in the lively Materdei district. The property will accommodate up to 300 guests at full capacity.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Manager based in Naples. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the hostel’s operations, including the pre-opening phase, managing staff, ensuring excellent guest experiences, and driving financial performance. Responsibilities also include recruiting and training staff, managing budgets, ensuring health and safety compliance, and fostering a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in hospitality management (hostels, hotels, tourism, or events)
• Strong leadership, staff management, and team-building skills
• Experience in customer service and guest relations
• Knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and cost control
• Operational management and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in Italian and English (additional languages are a plus)
