Industrial Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team. This critical role involves the design, development, and maintenance of automated industrial processes, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and adherence to quality standards. The successful candidate will play a key part in the continuous improvement and modernization of our plant's automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test automated industrial processes, systems, and components.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of industrial automation systems.
• Install, configure, and maintain industrial automation systems.
• Implement new technologies and software to improve automation processes.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for industrial automation systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance in industrial automation systems.
• Analyze system performance and suggest modifications or upgrades.
• Monitor system operation and respond to alarms and errors promptly.
• Provide technical support to operations and maintenance personnel.
• Correct and/or ensure the safe operation of the plants within the quality and safety standards dictated by Bunge.
• Monitor the obsolescence of installed automation components and software, planning for necessary upgrades.
• Collaborate daily with ordinary and extraordinary repairs of the plant.
• During annual shutdowns, ensure the correct execution of all planned tasks related to automation systems.
• Support all potential suppliers during field visits and scope definition for projects.
• Participate in design work at all stages of automation modernization projects.
• Check project and assembly documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure overall system reliability and safety.

Qualifications:

• Education: Higher technical education with a focus on automation of production processes. A background in Engineering, Electrical, Automation, Computer Science, or a similar field is required.
• Experience: Approximately 3 years of experience as an automation engineer or automation project engineer, preferably within the oilseed industry or oil & gas industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Solid understanding of computer programming and software development.
• Solid understanding of electrical diagrams.
