Hw Design Engineer

Overview

RINA is currently recruiting for a HW Design Engineer to join its team in L'Aquila within the Electronics and System Engineering Division.

Mission

We are looking for an Electronic Designer with specific skills in Signal and Power Integrity, Electromagnetics, and excellent knowledge of the Siemens HyperLynx tool and one of the 3D EM simulation tools (HFSS, CST).

Key Accountabilities

The activity involves the following tasks :

• Interfacing with customer
• Prelayout analysis of high-speed buses in intraboard and multiboard scenarios
• 3D EM simulations for the design and optimization of PCB sections
• Support for routing engineers to comply with manufacturer guidelines
• Post-layout signal and power integrity simulations
• Report generation to support Gerber reviews of the various PCBs that comprise the device.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering General

Qualifications

Professional level :

In-depth knowledge of signal and power integrity concepts, as well as the issues related to high-speed signals and power distribution on a printed circuit board (PCB).

Responsibilities include project activities related to the design and layout verification of high-performance PCBs using electromagnetic simulation software. The following company tools are required for this role :

• Siemens HyperLynx
• Ansys HFSS and / or Dassault CST
• Microsoft Office
• MathWorks Matlab
