Descrizione del lavoro

Ellab is a rapidly growing, global player in validation and monitoring solutions with approaching 1,000 people worldwide. To support our rapid expansion, we’re looking for an IT Administrator based in Milan to join our global IT team and serve as the primary support for our Italian branch.

What will you be doing in the role?

You’re joining Ellab in a period of rapid growth, both organically and through acquisitions. These acquisitions have led to a fragmented IT landscape across countries. To remedy this and achieve a globally unified IT landscape, we recently merged local IT departments into a single, global IT team of 10‑12 professionals. This role is therefore a unique opportunity to shape the global IT landscape and help deliver solutions at scale.

The role will be the sole IT person physically located in Italy. Tasks will include first‑level support of laptops and phones, access management, and implementation of global standards. You’ll collaborate with local Italian colleagues and IT professionals across the global IT organization, capturing local challenges and propagating them into global planning processes.

As a member of a distributed global team, regular (at least quarterly) travel within Europe is expected, as is travel in Italy and Switzerland between our offices (Rome, Milan, Stabio) from time to time.

Skills and mindset you’ll bring to Ellab

Experience with Microsoft 365, PCs (Windows) and Intune is essential. Additionally, experience with Azure, Entra ID, Autopilot and Active Directory is highly beneficial. You should have several years of enterprise IT experience and a mindset of automation and scaling processes.

Written & verbal fluency in English is a must. The role will manage and maintain the IT infrastructure, providing technical support such as troubleshooting hardware and software issues for employees in the Italian offices. During the design and rollouts of global initiatives, you will ensure compatibility between the global ambition and local business realities.

Responsibilities

  • First‑level support of laptops and phones
  • Access management and implementation of global standards
  • Basic printer setup and maintenance (software installation and basic configuration)
  • IT onboarding for new employees (device setup, software installation, permissions)
  • Offboarding for employees leaving the company
  • Definition and maintenance of device configurations based on employee roles
  • Maintenance of IT inventory of local hardware assets
  • Coordination with external vendors for hardware, network and telecommunication services
  • Support with initial setup and access reset for the time & attendance tracking system (badge access, user credentials, portal login issues)
