Tenure‑Track Associate Professor/Assistant Professor – School of Chinese Medicine, The University of Hong Kong (Ref.: 533730)

Responsibilities

  • Provide healthcare services in Chinese medicine.
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
  • Conduct academic research.

Qualifications

  • Recognized undergraduate degree in Chinese Medicine (registrable with the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong) and a Ph.D. in Chinese Medicine or related disciplines.
  • Substantial experience in Chinese medicine clinical practice, teaching, and course development at tertiary institutions.
  • Proven track record of high‑quality research and scholarship as measured by impactful publications, external grants, supervision of postgraduate students, and cross‑disciplinary collaborations.
  • Strong commitment to Chinese Medicine education with interests in pedagogical and curriculum innovation.
  • Proficiency in both Chinese and English.

Appointment and Salary

The appointment is on a three‑year fixed‑term basis with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure after the second contract. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, along with annual leave and medical benefits. The salary tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. A contract‑end gratuity and university contribution to a retirement benefits scheme up to 15% of basic salary will be provided. Housing benefits may be provided as applicable.
