• Position overview

As a Production Shift Leader, you will coordinate duties of approximately XXX production operators. These duties include improving safety, reducing costs, improving quality, maximizing the department's effectiveness through long-term planning and project implementation, providing appropriate training and development, ensuring consistent roll-out of plant policies & procedures, and maintaining open communication and positive employee relations. In this role, you will also drive continuous improvement within your team.

• Responsibilities
• You manage the daily shift operation and oversee the process from Raw Materials (RM) to Finished Goods (FG) in a safe manner.
• You ensure the safety and productivity of all shift members, developing core skills and teamwork ethics.
• You enable effective communication and cooperation between shift teams and across different departments.
• You coach new employees.
• You maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with the Safety-Health-Environment (SHE) system.
• You assist the production supervisor in investigating incidents and quality issues.
• You have an eye for continuous improvement and innovation by suggesting and implementing ideas to enhance processes and product quality.

Required skills and experience:

• College education with a chemical process background and technician experience in a chemical plant.
• Production management experience with a BS degree and chemical process background.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Good teamwork spirit.
