Overview
Recruitment Partner - Talent Acquisition Retail. This role is responsible for leading the entire recruitment process and partnering with HR, business and Recruiting colleagues to identify, qualify and attract talent for adidas. As the Recruitment Partner for Retail, you will focus on recruitment mandates for Europe Retail Stores and drive strategic talent acquisition topics within Europe Retail, supporting Retail leadership teams in recruitment processes within their teams.
You will manage the entire recruitment process from sourcing, screening, interviewing, to offer stage. You will engage with candidates and hiring teams to deliver an exceptional candidate experience and recruitment services. The role requires business acumen, a passion for recruiting, and a willingness to think outside of the box. You will partner with hiring teams to develop functional recruiting strategies and act as an expert partner to HR and business within Europe Retail. You will leverage adidas local sourcing hubs and collaborate with recruiting and sourcing colleagues to share candidates and roles to support a collaborative hiring process. Maintain an “always on” approach, using multiple channels to attract top talent including proactive outreach to passive candidates for every search.
Location details: Milan, Italy. This role may require up to 25% travel and a hybrid working arrangement (3 days in office or store and 2 days remote).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the entire recruitment process including requisition approval, hiring manager briefing, job advertising, candidate sourcing, application review, candidate screening, interview strategy, offer process and ongoing collaboration with hiring teams to improve the process.
- Leverage advertising resources and candidate marketing strategies to create local, regional and global awareness to attract qualified applications for roles within your area of responsibility.
- Utilize candidate databases (internal and external) and other sourcing channels (university, competitive research, job fairs, social) to identify prospective candidates, invite them to apply, and conduct cold outreach as needed.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial phone screens to assess qualifications and suitability, followed by in-depth interviews evaluating skills, experience and culture add.
- Build and maintain pre-qualified and prospective candidate pools within the functional area you support.
- Partner with recruiting and sourcing colleagues to share candidates and jobs to encourage a collaborative hiring process.
- Continuously identify new candidate pools and leverage channels such as social media, job boards, referrals and networking to proactively identify passive candidates.
- Provide guidance to the hiring teams throughout the recruitment process and regularly update them on status.
- Advocate for and drive a diverse and inclusive recruitment strategy.
- Conduct weekly check-ins with active candidates and hiring managers for each role.
- Own responsibility for candidate and hiring manager experience and drive standards for quality performance against all standards.
- Utilize knowledge of the adidas brand and offerings, benefits, compensation strategies, and programs to market adidas as an Employer of Choice.
- Lead additional recruitment initiatives as needed.
- Plan and participate in strategic planning meetings with functional/market leadership and key business partners to understand current and upcoming requirements and build a strategy for effective recruitment activities.
- Conduct quarterly review meetings with business leaders to provide recruiting achievements and opportunities for improvement.
- Support retail teams with TA upskilling, trainings, best practices, hiring events, assessment centers and toolkit rollouts.
- In partnership with HR and Legal, ensure interviewing and hiring practices align with TA policy and local and federal regulations.
- Drive strategic talent strategies with Retail Leadership to proactively build candidate pipelines within retail stores and teams.
- Actively participate in retail events such as Retail Sales Meetings, Store Visits, Hiring Events, and District/Regional market meetings.
- Participate in onboarding trainings for new hires within Retail leadership to conduct training on TA topics.
- Flex schedule based on business demand to accommodate hiring needs.
- Use recruitment systems effectively, document key actions, suggest improvements and ensure data accuracy for reporting.
- Apply and adapt broader talent acquisition strategies (employer branding, internal recruiting, diversity, etc.) within your function or market.
- Act as a key point of contact to support the implementation of global initiatives within your function or market.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in international/global recruiting, leading local, international and global mandates across a broad range of sourcing channels (including proactive outreach).
- Specific expertise/experience recruiting for Retail business strongly preferred.
- Industry knowledge of footwear, apparel and/or retail.
- Experience working in large, international/global matrix organizations.
- Experience working with vendors and managing relationships to drive results through collaboration.
- Track record of end-to-end recruitment mandates (sourcing, assessing and hiring for volume roles and global initiatives) to achieve hiring goals.
- Experience in offer negotiation and awareness of local legislation and market/compensation trends.
- International experience in multiple geographies.
- Knowledge of diversity and inclusion from a talent acquisition perspective.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Italian language proficiency is required.
- Location: Milan, Italy. Hybrid work arrangement; 3 days in office/store and 2 days remote. Travel up to 25% as needed.
