Job Title: Export Manager – Clean-Room & Controlled-Environment Solutions

Reports to: Director of International Sales

Company Overview

Our client is a specialist manufacturer and integrator of high-performance wall, mobile partition and ceiling systems for controlled-environment applications (e.g., clean-rooms) used in pharmaceutical, hospital/clinical, micro-electronic, chemical and food sectors. We pride ourselves on technical innovation, high-quality production and delivering turnkey solutions to demanding end-users.

Role Summary

The Export Manager will lead and expand our international sales activities for our client's clean-room and controlled-environment product range, with a strong focus on the hospital/clinical sector and adjacent industries. The successful candidate will have direct experience selling clean-rooms, controlled-environment systems or similar architectural/mechanical solutions into hospitals or other regulated healthcare/clean-environment markets. You will drive revenue growth, establish new export markets, manage key international accounts and coordinate with internal teams (engineering, production, logistics) to ensure successful project-based sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the export sales strategy for our clean-room/controlled-environment product portfolio, with emphasis on hospital/clinical markets, pharmaceutical, electronics, or similar sectors.
  • Identify, qualify and secure new international business opportunities: agents/distributors, system integrators, hospital/healthcare procurement, design-build contractors, consultants.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with key international accounts, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Act as primary contact for export clients: lead presentations, proposals, pricing, negotiations, contract closure and after-sales support.
  • Work closely with internal teams (engineering, design, production, logistics, quality) to ensure export projects are delivered on time, on budget and to specification.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, regulatory requirements (especially in healthcare/clean-environment sectors) and feed back to senior management.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, margin analyses and contribute to business planning.
  • Represent the company at international trade fairs, conferences and client visits. Travel will be required.
  • Ensure export compliance (incoterms, shipping documentation, customs, certifications) in cooperation with logistics and export teams.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in export sales or international business development of clean-rooms or controlled‑environment systems, or similarly complex building/industry systems sold into hospitals or regulated markets (pharma, healthcare, electronics).
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets and opening new export markets.
  • Technical aptitude: ability to understand and articulate architectural/engineering solutions, controlled-environment requirements (e.g., air cleanliness, partition systems, modular walls) and translate into client proposals.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; fluency in English (additional languages such as German, French, Spanish or Italian strongly desirable).
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, strategic mindset with strong organisational and project-management abilities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver complex solutions.
  • Understanding of the hospital/clinical market and its procurement processes is a strong plus.

What We Offer

  • A key leadership role in a technically advanced manufacturing company with strong growth potential in export markets.
  • Competitive base salary + performance-based bonus tied to export sales achievements.
  • Opportunity to shape and grow our international presence and influence product strategy.
  • Supportive team environment, access to trade shows, training and the chance to work with advanced architectures and global clients.
  • Travel to international markets and exposure to cutting-edge controlled-environment projects.
