Interconnection Manager - Italy

Taylor Hopkinson is recruiting an experienced Interconnection Manager for a leading renewable energy company focused on the development, construction, and operation of utility-scale solar PV and BESS.

With a strong presence in international markets, the company is expanding its team in Italy to accelerate the energy transition.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing interconnection applications during project development and providing technical support during the construction phase to ensure smooth grid integration.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage the interconnection application process for solar PV and BESS projects.
• Liaise with grid operators (TSOs / DSOs) and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with grid connection requirements.
• Assess grid connection feasibility, including technical and economic evaluations.
• Support the project development team in identifying optimal interconnection points and technical solutions.
• Review and manage grid connection agreements , ensuring all regulatory and technical requirements are met.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase , ensuring compliance with grid codes and interconnection agreements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and updates related to grid connection policies in Italy.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, development, and construction, to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements :

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical field .
• 5+ years of experience in grid connection processes for solar PV and BESS projects .
• Strong knowledge of the Italian regulatory framework and grid connection procedures.
• Experience working with TSOs (Terna) and DSOs in Italy.
• Understanding of grid codes, interconnection agreements, and technical grid requirements .
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage with regulatory authorities and stakeholders.
• Fluency in Italian and English (both written and spoken).
