The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our community of PMs in a mission to Shape a Better World.

As a Senior Project Manager in our team, you will be part of the delivery of significant and complex projects in the Science, Industry, and Technology sectors, with a focus on Data Centre design and construction. You will work as part of large, multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable ‘Total Architecture’ on an international scale.

Candidates with experience in Data Center or Industrial Projects are highly preferred.

As a Senior PM - Data Center at Arup, you will:

• Interface with clients, gaining their trust and ensuring their needs are met on time through effective communication.
• Lead and manage multiple large capital projects.
• Guide project teams in developing multidisciplinary projects at all levels of design and construction, including testing and commissioning.
• Identify and manage project risks, developing clear strategies for mitigation. Address challenges proactively during the project lifecycle.
• Achieve stakeholder alignment and approval at the start of the project.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Oversee project planning, management, and quality assurance.
• Monitor and actively participate in the project's cost reporting and management throughout the project.

We also value:

• 7+ years of on-site experience in residential or industrial projects, including critical infrastructure for Data Centers, Pharmaceutical, Bio-tech, Petrochemical, or similar environments.
• Proven experience in project and construction management. Customer-focused, self-motivated, and flexible.
• Deep knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry best practices.
• Experience with construction procurement methodologies.
• Comprehensive understanding of building planning.
• Ability to deliver complex projects on time within budget.
• Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
• Fluency in both Italian and English.
