About the job

We are seeking a Reliability Functional Test Engineer for BEV at our headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO). You will report to the Head of Verification & Validation Testing and be responsible for vehicle functional testing for new projects and assigned vehicle families.

• Develop functional testing procedures and routines based on project plans
• Train testing drivers and passengers
• Manage dataloggers used in validation testing, including planning, configuration, and maintenance
• Plan and define charging stations and related analysis interfaces
• Determine and coordinate tools and connected services activation
• Configure dataloggers with testing stations and R&D departments, troubleshoot issues
• Gather, prioritize, and analyze findings during testing, manage complaints
• Prepare test reports and participate in software meetings as the department representative
• Verify prototypes and early software, including flashing and analysis
• Contribute to flashing instructions and reviews

About you

• Degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Aerospace Engineering
• Master’s in Vehicle Engineering is a plus
• Minimum 3 years experience in automotive testing roles, group experience preferred
• Strong automotive technical knowledge, especially in vehicle dynamics and electronics
• Experience solving functional issues related to car dynamics, electronics, and software
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments
• Ability to plan logistics and coordinate analysis
• Proficiency with tools such as Office Suite, Teams, and diagnostic tools; VW group tools a plus
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
• Strong planning, problem-solving, communication, and proactive skills
• Availability to travel worldwide
