Your Impact :

Jacobs is looking for a Permitting Specialist to join the environmental team and support exciting and innovative projects in Italy and abroad.

By joining Jacobs, you’ll develop specialized skills through training programs and collaboration with a diverse range of professionals (engineers, geologists, chemists, etc.) within an international, dynamic, young, and diverse environment.

As a Permitting Specialist, you will work closely with project managers, scientists, engineers, and planners to achieve our clients’ goals, with responsibilities including:

• Supporting the development of environmental projects throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, providing added value based on your skills and experience.
• Providing technical assistance and supporting the Milan Team in environmental services such as compliance audits, due diligence assessments, environmental permitting, and Environmental and Social Impact Assessments.
• Supporting energy and climate transition projects.
• Ensuring compliance with Company Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety procedures.
• Contributing to company values like technical excellence, innovation, sustainability, health and safety, inclusion, and diversity.
• Proactively developing assigned tasks.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and project stakeholders.

Here's what you'll need :

• A degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in environmental consultancy.
• Good knowledge of main EHS regulations and sustainability principles.
• Data management and reporting skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken Italian and English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task, stay flexible, travel, and work independently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• An open mindset towards innovation, digitalization, and visual communication.
