As a Project and Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of the Data Center projects by maintaining continuous communication with the Project Director, addressing project progress and concerns during the pre-construction phase, between the authorization and design phases, managing the technical coordination of the design and permitting activities.
Your responsibilities include advising the Project Director on potential progress slippage and proposing corrective actions, reviewing and monitoring weekly and monthly reports to identify areas of non-compliance. Regular site visits and collaboration with the PM team to evaluate requests for information and contractor transmittals will be integral to your role, culminating in the preparation and submission of a comprehensive closeout report for the project. Your responsibilities will span all project phases : planning, design / preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Communicate with the Project Director continuously regarding project progress and areas of concern.
Advise Project Director of any foreseeable slippage of progress and propose corrective actions.
Review and initial PM assessment of monthly progress invoices.
Assess change and report the recommendation to Project Director.
Attending Executive meetings, weekly Progress meetings, Quality meetings and ensure that weekly technical meetings are attended by all relevant disciplines.
Advise Construction Manager on any potential variation to scope of work, which may generate cost or time impact and present PM assessment.
Review and monitor design activities and permitting
Ensure Contractor Compliance with its Contractual obligations concerning Design changes, Trend Notices etc.
Regular visits to Project site for global monitoring of site activities in respect of Quality, Safety and Progress and advise Project Director of findings, area of concern and corrective action.
Lead the PM team to evaluate all requests for Information, as submitted by the Contractor, and communicate with the Design Consultant in a timely manner if necessary.
University Degree in Engineering or Architecture
A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction
Previous experience in a multinational environment or in project management in construction will be considered an asset.
Professional accreditation as (PMI / PRINCE / AGILE or equivalent, LEED or BREEAM) will be considered a plus
Fluency in the Italian and English languages
Previous experience in the construction of large-scale data centers is recommended
Driving license is mandatory.
