Overview

The Advisory Lead, Data Centre is a leadership role responsible for collaborating with senior business stakeholders to formulate and implement the Data Centre technology advisory services strategy and organizational capability. The role provides vision and forward direction for the business and plays a pivotal role in developing the company’s technology advisory approach to Artificial Intelligence. The role reports into the EU Advisory VP and works with EU and global stakeholders to define and manage a sustainable and profitable advisory practice aligned to the overall business strategy, while guiding the delivery of value to clients through service management capabilities. The aim is to increase business value with key clients and realize pull-through business from consultancy engagements. The leadership role fosters a collaborative and high-performing culture across the advisory team(s) within their remit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gains support from other business areas and stakeholders to execute strategic plans that align to overall advisory services goals and ensures their implementation.
  • Oversees day-to-day activities of a team of advisory professionals in the functional area.
  • Provides direction to advisory teams in complex engagements by acting as a subject matter expert to generate demand.
  • Develops required processes, policies and tools related to financial, people, marketing and delivery management and ensures they are in place and managed operationally.
  • Leverages relationship skills and knowledge of the client environment to assist and influence the client.
  • Takes ownership for improving efficiency, streamlining and continuously enhancing procedures to deliver customer excellence.
  • Oversees delivery of client requirements against agreed contracts for advisory areas.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to develop strategy and manages implementation to achieve revenue and expense targets.
  • Ensures the business unit meets profitability targets, maximizing revenue per billable resource within cost constraints while upholding company standards.
  • Participates with senior managers to formulate and implement the Advisory Services strategy and organizational capability that provides vision and direction.
  • Sets the standard for client satisfaction and develops service policies and standards to drive optimization and client satisfaction.
  • Uses understanding of business objectives, market trends and client requirements to develop an advisory service practice aligned to the business strategy.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology and/or Business Management or related field.
  • Scaled Agile certification desirable.
  • Relevant advisory and technical certifications preferred.

Required experience

  • Significant experience in a similar role within a related environment.
  • Operational leadership of an advisory team.
  • Experience dealing with clients and managing service levels.
  • Stakeholder engagement experience at all organization levels.
  • Project management experience.
