Summary

As a Senior Solution Consultant, you will provide technical and functional support to prospective clients and customers, understand their requirements, drive value from the usage of our solutions, build credibility and trust, and ensure overall customer satisfaction from your engagements.

Leadership

  • Support the sales team as the expert on the business process aspects of Guidewire solutions throughout the sales cycle.
  • Mentor other sales consultants, create and execute a training plan, and see the plan through to completion.
  • Initiate knowledge sharing by hosting show-and-tells or segments of training sessions to foster growth.
  • Lead key projects outside of working sales opportunities.
  • Lead “user test drive / workshop” sessions; develop strategy, define objectives, and execute on the goals.
  • Create messaging for the customer or prospect tailored to their unique requirements.

Collegiality

  • Identify new customer requirements and work with Product Management and Principal Solution Consultants to design solutions.
  • Provide input and support to the Solution Engineering team.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork and networking skills.
  • Share new information learned on deals regarding competitive knowledge, demo tips and tricks, or lessons learned while on-site.

Product Knowledge

  • Proven expertise with product knowledge; become deep in multiple products while maintaining specialization.
  • Present an end‑to‑end demonstration that includes all parts of the Analytics, Data, Core, and Digital story.
  • Complete product RFPs, independently display industry expertise.
  • Has had key roles in deals.
  • Self‑sufficient in supporting own demonstration environments.
  • Demonstrate business‑level, UI‑level, and rule‑level product configurations in GWCP solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into configurations that support functional requirements using creativity and effective collaboration.
  • Apply emerging technologies and data‑driven insights to enhance productivity and outcomes.

Industry Knowledge - Commercial Lines

  • Understand the major lines of business insurers write, their risks, and how they’re administered in a core system.
  • Understand the end‑to‑end lifecycle with deeper expertise in one of the following areas: Distribution & Sales, Underwriting & Rating, Multi‑line and multi‑location risks, Policy Administration, Claims, Billing, Accounting, Reinsurance, International business, Layering, and more.
  • Fluency in insurer economics (Premiums vs. claims vs. expenses, Key Ratios, Exposure Management, Reserving, etc.).
  • Experience in one of the Continental European Market‑Specifics (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Benelux).
  • Regulatory awareness (Solvency II, IDD, IFRS 17, sanctions compliance, local regulators).

Presentation Skills

  • Present complex, customized demonstrations tailored to customer requirements, teaming with a Technical Solution Consulting teammate.
  • Plan and execute a full‑day scripted demo and multi‑day demonstration.
  • Deliver compelling demonstrations with strategic messaging, consistently improving content and message.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in native language and English.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Embrace AI and apply data‑driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Travel

Typical 50‑60% travel is required, with some week‑to‑week variance.
