HSE Trainee

Overview

HSE Internship – Taranto, Italy. Join Vestas and become part of a team based in Taranto with national and international scope, offering strong opportunities for professional development. The HSE department is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of the factory.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the implementation and monitoring of HSE policies and procedures
• Participating in workplace safety inspections and audits
• Assisting in risk assessments and incident investigations
• Contributing to the development of safety awareness campaigns and training materials
• Supporting waste management, sustainability, and environmental reporting activities
• Performing data analysis and reporting on HSE KPIs
• Providing support on ad hoc tasks across different departments with a focus on safety and environment

What you will learn

• ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
• Best practices in incident prevention and root cause analysis
• Regulatory compliance in industrial HSE contexts
• Continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental sustainability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar. A Master’s Degree will also be valued.
• Availability to join a full-time internship program in Taranto.

Competencies

• Passion for HSE topics and eagerness to learn
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proactive and structured mindset
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Fluency in Italian; English at a conversational level (A2 or higher)
