Fabrication Shop Superintendent (contract)
Wood is currently recruiting for a Fabrication Shop Superintendent (contract). The role will be working at various locations in the UK and Europe to support the Redcar site on an energy transition project.
The Role
The Fabrication Shop Superintendents role is to oversee offsite pipework and pipe support fabrication undertaken at an off-site fabrication facility.
The fabrication scope is in relation to the energy transition project located at Wilton in Teesside working as part of an Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT).
Reporting directly to the PCC (Power Island) Construction Manager the successful candidate will have demonstrable pipework fabrication experience with a strong background in UK onshore construction relating to a top tier COMAH site. Knowledge of PED 2014, CDM Regulations 2015, and Construction risk management is also required.
The role will require being assigned to the fabrication facility and undertake occasional business trips to supporting subcontractors, as well as to the construction site in Wilton.

What makes you remarkable?
Expected :
- HNC / NVQ L4 or equivalent
- Extensive experience of working within a client or Principal Contractor team on UK brownfield Top Tier COMAH sites
- Hands on experience of construction (incl. fabrication) planning, preparations and execution
- Practical expertise of constructability and hazard identification and management
Desirable :
- Piping apprenticeship preferred but not essential
