PXTCS is looking for an economist who can apply economic methods to address business problems. The ideal candidate will work with engineers and computer scientists to estimate models and algorithms on large‑scale data, design pilots and measure impact, and transform successful prototypes into improved policies and programs at scale. The role requires a strong technical economic toolbox, a desire to learn from other disciplines, and the ability to execute and deliver on big ideas as part of an interdisciplinary technical team.
As an economist, you will apply economic methods to business problems, including identifying research questions, writing code to implement DID analyses or estimate structural models, and presenting findings to business leaders. You will collaborate with partner teams throughout the research process, from understanding challenges to implementing solutions.
