RINA is currently recruiting for a

Lead Auditor - Aerospace Scheme

to join its office in

Prato, Italy

within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification

Division.

Mission The role focuses on planning, execution, and management of audits within our certification business, leading large and complex customer engagements, ensuring effective audit processes, compliance with standards, and fostering strong client relationships.

Key Accountabilities

Your key responsibilities encompass leading comprehensive third‑party audits aligned with the EN9100 : 2018 aerospace quality management standard, meticulously assessing client systems and processes to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for enhancement. You will oversee the management of a strategic three‑year audit program for client organizations, meticulously scheduling and executing audits to maintain certification status and stimulate ongoing organizational improvements.

Engagement with clients will be a core aspect of your role, involving detailed consultations to understand their operational challenges and certification objectives, thereby positioning yourself as a trusted advisor. Collaborating cross‑functionally with internal teams, you will facilitate the implementation of audit findings and corrective actions, ensuring that recommendations translate into measurable improvements.

You will maintain acute awareness of evolving aerospace industry standards, regulatory requirements such as EASA Part 145 and Part 21, and emerging best practices, allowing you to provide informed guidance to clients and to enhance RINA Services’ position as an industry thought leader. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and refinement of audit methodologies and tools, supporting continuous evolution within the certification division.

Education Bachelor’s Degree

High School Diploma / GED in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

Qualifications

Completion of the “IAQG-sanctioned 9100 : 2016 Aerospace Auditor Transition Training” course, recognised by Personnel Certification Bodies.

A minimum of 2 / 3 years of full‑time work experience in the aerospace sector, particularly in engineering, design, and manufacturing, with an emphasis on product / process quality control in environments such as aerospace component manufacturers or national agencies.

Professional certification or registration in Aerospace Registers (OASIS) such as EN9100 : 2018 will greatly be viewed as an asset.

Familiarity with mandatory regulations (EASA Part 145, EASA Part 21) will strengthen your application.

Strong interpersonal skills, complemented by an ability to work collaboratively within teams.

Proficient in spoken and written English and Italian to facilitate effective communication with stakeholders.
