Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for managing one or more projects, adopting company tools and best practices. He/She works with all internal departments to ensure successful execution within contractual terms and performance objectives, as well as customer satisfaction. He/She acts as the focal point of the project throughout its life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all phases of the project from pre-award in the contract phase to obtaining the job order.
  • Supports the business office in offer finalization and final negotiation, coordinating contract review and acceptance procedures.
  • Obtains all information relevant to the project, understands the offer in all its details, identifies variables and any critical issues.
  • Coordinates the kick-off meeting to transfer relevant information to all company stakeholders and launch the project in the management/ERP.
  • Communicates with internal and external customers regarding financial, commercial and technical aspects to ensure satisfactory project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitors and controls the overall progress of projects through various stages, from sales to engineering, production, installation and commissioning, providing support to customers and internal departments by facilitating information flow and communication as much as possible.
  • Represents the company during meetings and negotiations with the client during the life of a project, ensuring client satisfaction while maintaining company performance.
  • Performs periodic reviews of contract finances by comparing actual costs and projected costs to complete remaining work against budgeted costs, at both line-item and contract levels.
  • Supports the purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of major components and machinery purchased in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Promotes clear communication and information sharing across all stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Identifies, tracks, evaluates and minimizes project risks.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering management or a technical field (mechanical, electrical, chemical, materials).
  • 4-5 years of prior experience in companies working preferably in the plant engineering sector.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the country, Europe and outside the EU.
  • Excellent knowledge of English, spoken and written. Knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent analytical, accuracy and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and propensity for teamwork.
  • Strong goal orientation and adaptability.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with both customers and colleagues.
