Role Summary

The Field Service Team installs, commissions, troubleshoots and repairs Flowserve pumps and equipment for our customers in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, nuclear, coal, and wastewater.

This position requires a Service Technician that performs field servicing, site repairs, and maintenance activities on a wide range of pumping equipment. The work is normally carried out on customer premises, including factory sites, chemical facilities, pumping stations, refineries, oil rigs, and other plant installations.

The role involves removal, inspection, refurbishment, rebuild, installation, commissioning, general servicing, on-site repair, troubleshooting, and completion of electronic reports suitable for submission to internal and external customers.

Your Role

Visit customer sites to deliver installation, commissioning, and general service‑related tasks on relatively simpler installations for OEM equipment as well as from competitors.

Serve as the direct interface with subcontractors, vendors, and any supplier working at the site with our Field Service Technician for critical jobs.

Provide timely responses to enquiries and redirect questions to the appropriate resources.

Carry out diagnoses and repairs of pumps (mechatronic products) in the field and in the workshop.

Perform troubleshooting and assembly in the field as well as necessary work in the Flowserve QRC Workshop.

Quality Assurance

Adapt, modify, and optimize systems and components of the hardware and software parameters according to customer orders.

Monitor repair quality, conduct test tasks, analyze defects, rework and rejects, and develop and implement preventive quality assurance measures.

Your Profile

  • Qualified as a mechanical engineering apprentice with strong fitting and mechanical skills; familiar with small and modular pumping packages.
  • Knowledgeable in pumps and mechanical seals.
  • Experience with laser alignment equipment is advantageous.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in the chemical, power, and / or oil and gas industries.
  • Able to remain calm and even‑tempered under challenging demands and deadlines.
  • Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics.
  • Valid driver’s licence with a good driving record; prepared to travel on short notice, work outside contracted hours, and work away from the home base for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of requisite health and safety requirements and ability to work within client permit‑to‑work systems.
  • Good English oral and written language skills; interpersonal communication for report writing and customer dialogue.
  • Proficient with PC and related software packages; knowledge of SAP R/3 would be advantageous.

Required Experience

Relevant field service experience in large‑scale pumping equipment installations and maintenance.
