EHS ENGINEER

Purpose of the Role

The EHS Engineer supports the development and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health and Safety programs across the site. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director Italy and working closely with HSE and Engineering teams, the role combines hands‑on project execution with the implementation of initiatives that ensure regulatory compliance, risk reduction and a strong safety culture throughout the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and support EHS projects, ensuring timely execution and regulatory compliance
  • Conduct risk assessments, inspections and internal audits, identifying and mitigating safety and environmental risks
  • Provide technical guidance on EHS matters to engineering and operations teams
  • Develop and deliver EHS training, promoting a strong safety culture
  • Support incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and corrective action plans
  • Contribute to the development, review and improvement of EHS procedures and SOPs
  • Maintain accurate EHS documentation and collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure alignment on safety priorities

Requirements

  • Master s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or related discipline
  • 5-7 years experience in EHS roles within chemical manufacturing environments - preferably under Seveso III (Directive 2012 / 18 / EU)
  • In‑depth knowledge of EHS regulations, standards and best practices
  • Familiarity with incident investigation methodologies and root‑cause analysis and experience in SOP development and implementation will be considered ad a plus
  • Strong project management, organizational and analytical skills
  • Effective communicator with the ability to train, influence and collaborate across teams
  • Solid problem‑solving capabilities and a proactive, hands‑on approach
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
