Go Developer - SECO Mind - Padua

We're looking for a candidate to join our software development team in Padua. This candidate will develop services written in Go (such as the Kubernetes operator) that are part of our open source products and will participate in internal R&D activities.

The ideal candidate we are looking for has previous experience developing in Go (or another system language) in a work, academic, or open source context.

Requirements

Although appreciated, prior knowledge of the Go language is not a prerequisite. Knowledge of a system programming language of your choice (C, C++, Rust, etc.), or Java or Python (in the context of microservices development) is sufficient. A study and training program will be organized to acquire the necessary skills. The following skills are required:

• Networking elements and related terminology (e.g., main protocols, port concepts, load balancers, etc.)
• Knowledge of the main best practices for secure development and the main types of vulnerabilities
• Knowledge of the most common design patterns
• Ability to design or discuss (also in English) a software architecture
• Knowledge of git
• Using Docker

Nice to Have

The following optional skills will also be appreciated:

• Active participation in conferences or meetups
• Management of Kubernetes clusters
• Basic knowledge of DevOps
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (or solutions from other major players)
