The laboratory of Dr. John Kubasiak at Loyola University Chicago’s Burn Shock Trauma Research Institute (BSTRI) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team studying the mechanisms of vascular dysfunction, endothelial injury, and immune dysregulation following severe burn and critical illness. This position is supported by a recently awarded NIH R35 grant, providing long‑term support for mechanistic and translational investigations centered on angiopoietin/Tie2 signaling, microvascular repair, and host response after injury.
The successful candidate will lead and contribute to projects using cutting‑edge molecular, cellular, and spatial profiling approaches to dissect vascular and immune signaling across injury models. Key technologies and methodologies include:
PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree in biomedical sciences (e.g., immunology, vascular biology, molecular biology, physiology).
The Burn Shock Trauma Research Institute (BSTRI) at Loyola University Chicago is an interdisciplinary center uniting scientists and clinicians focused on burn injury, trauma, sepsis, and regenerative medicine.
