Test Automation Engineer

This position will be a member of the R&D Test department. As a member of the team you will work in contact with R&D groups who develop products for the Logistics automation market sector.

Role

Your main activity will be to perform test activities to contribute to the product validation, and from these activities to understand how to develop test automation to allow faster and easier regression testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the product requirements and network interconnectivity of the products to implement test procedures for the validation of products under development or maintenance
• Cooperate with the project development groups to understand possible product weaknesses
• Correctly use the company tools to track defects and change requests
• Design automatic test applications in both PC and embedded environment
• Write tests specifications and documentation

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Informatics.

Languages: Italian; English fluent.

Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in an R&D team.

Technical Competencies

• Good Knowledge of C/C++ and Object-Oriented Programming principles
• Good Knowledge of scripting languages (Python)
• Knowledge of web programming technologies
• Knowledge of Windows/Linux environments (shell, bash, …)
• Knowledge of automatic test principles

Desired

• Knowledge of IT network protocols
• Knowledge of high-level Object-Oriented Programming languages like C# or Java
• Knowledge of distributed applications (Docker)
• Basic knowledge of IoT protocols like MQTT & OPCUA
• Basic knowledge of industrial communication protocols (ProfiNet, Ethernet-Ip, …)
