We are looking for a skilled and reliable Accounting Assistant to support our finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in accounting principles, hands-on experience with accounting systems, and the ability to work independently on a variety of financial tasks. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization’s accounting functions.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Accounting Assistant to support our finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in accounting principles, hands-on experience with accounting systems, and the ability to work independently on a variety of financial tasks. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization’s accounting functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Perform routine accounting activities including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and payments
• Assist in Process payroll entries and reconcile payroll-related accounts
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation
• Maintain accurate and organized financial files and records
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable financial regulations
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementation

Qualifications and Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or 2–4 years of accounting and payroll or bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency with accounting software's
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting practices
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to compose reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with Managers and Vendors.
• Ability to solve practical problems and examine a variety of tangible variables.
• Ability to interpret a variety of written and oral communications.
• Ability to pass drug test, background investigation.
• Ability to work legally in the United States.
• Ability to accurately follow instructions from supervisor.

Physical Requirements :

The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Employees may be required to drive long distances. Employees are frequently required to sit, stand; walk; use hands, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms including above the shoulders, climb or balance, stoop; kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception of vision is required.
